New Book Now Available!

Hi, everybody!

Hope you're all enjoying the fall colors. Somehow October's half over. I'm not exactly sure how that happened, but at least I have something to show for it because WRONG AS RAIN: A Rose City Thriller is now available on Amazon. Here's the link... WRONG AS RAIN.

The book description is below.

There’s something wrong going on in the Rose City. Something wrong as rain.

Reporter Kate Craig is looking into the suicide of a young rape victim. But as she investigates what really happened to freshman Jessica Kaplan, she uncovers more than she ever bargained for.

Meanwhile, Detective Clay Moore and his partner are on the hunt for a missing star quarterback, who has mysteriously disappeared in the middle of his team’s greatest season. But a shocking revelation sends the case into sudden death.

As a hard rain begins to fall, the downpour threatens to expose the darkest secrets of the Rose City and wash away any chance at happiness for Kate and Clay.

A hard-boiled and heart-pounding unforgettable noir thriller ripped from today’s headlines,
Wrong as Rain is the second book in the Rose City Thriller series.

Please note: If this book were a movie it would be rated R for language, sex, and violence.

Crime fiction is not everyone's cup of tea, but if you decide to give it a try, I hope you enjoy.

Happy autumn!

Love,

Jools

First Harvest from Abby Craig's Garden

Okay, it's really from the Jools Sinclair garden, but I think Abby Craig would approve!

Tonight, with all these fantastic homegrown ingredients (Tomatoes, basil, chives, and lemon thyme) I am making couple of French tomato tarts, recipe from David Lebovitz.

Book Update: The New Book in the Kate Craig Mysteries series will be out later this month, and the debut of the Abby Craig Mysteries will be out in early September.

Hope you're all having a fantastic summer!

Love,
Jools

Five Things to Know about Forty-Four

Hi, Everybody!

I wanted to let you know that Forty-Four Box Set Books 1-10 will be featured Wednesday, March 16, on BookBub and will be on sale for only $2.99. That’s 10 books for less than three bucks!

On that note, this post is for the people new to Abby Craig’s story. Here are five facts that might be good to know if you’re just starting the books.

  1. Forty-Four is a #1 Amazon best-selling series that centers on a young woman recovering from a near death experience. It’s a supernatural suspense series filled with mystery, intrigue, and romance. Not to mention it has several killer twists!
  2. The books are fast, absorbing reads that take place in Bend, the real town in Central Oregon where I live.
  3. I write another series about Abby’s sister with Emily Jordan called The Rose City Mysteries. It’s a hard-boiled detective series and the second book will be out sometime in late April/early May.
  4. David Norton is my favorite character to write (he first appears in Book 4) because he’s so goofy and fun and his scenes make me laugh. Usually, by the time he shows up, the story needs him to lighten things up a bit!
  5. There are 13 books in the series, and the final Forty-Four book was recently released. However, there will be a new Abby Craig Mystery series starting this year.

The box set is only $2.99 through this Friday, so be sure to get in on the deal!

The Songs of Forty-Four

I love music and love listening to it while I write.

I've been wanting to post a playlist for the Forty-Four series for a while now, but just haven't had the time to put it together. So I thought that as I finish up Book 13, I'd go ahead and post a song or two a day, sort of as a countdown to the publication of the final book.

The clips will be out of order in terms of the book numbers, but they all do relate to a particular scene or mood from the series. For you Super Fans out there, I'd love to hear your interpretations as to how you think the songs fit into the series.

I hope you enjoy, and thanks again for being patient.

Happy New Year!

Jools

I'm thought I'd start off with David Bowie, for obvious reasons.
